Yesterday I got a package in the mail from my family with birthday presents. They sent me two books: Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, which I've never read, and The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, of which I've only read a very abridged version, along with watching various movie renditions, plus the Wishbone episode. They also sent me a photo album, filled with, um, photos. A few are ones I took at summer camp and stuff, but most are various family pictures. I am very pleased to have them, as I don't often take a lot of photos myself.
The other package that arrived yesterday contained a copy of Geometer's Sketchpad, which will allow me to go back and fill in all the graphs I had to skip over in the solutions I'm writing. One thing Adobe Illustrator does not do is graph equations.

That show was entertaining, but I have a couple of objections to it. Firstly, the target age is probably too young to actually read any of the featured books, and secondly, when they do get old enough, the plot will have already been ruined for them.
I did tell G-ma, perhaps it was after her comment. There is no way to tell what day she commented and even if there were, my memory won't let me in to know when I told her...
Um, yes, that's true, except by the time they're old enough, they'll probably have forgotten the plot. I only remember strange details (like the Phantom's mask and Don Quixote's windmill giants and one of the kid's friends preventing a bank robbery), rarely entire story-arcs or spoilers.
I was just talking about Doug yesterday! That was a good show. I don't really remember either theme songs, though I do remember Arthur and Alving and the Chipmunks were my favorites. And Inspector Gadget. Great Gatsby, I watched a lot of TV...
Okay yes..I heard after the fact..but was pleased it did indeed arrive at your place. Did you go have a Steak dinner for your special day??? We were thinking of you and wishing a happy happy for you. Chancy is here in our part of the country, and is to be over our way Tues. eve. Plans to labor with Uncle Craig to earn a few $$$.Always a welcome thing to have. Laters Love G_Ma
I bet I remember most of all of those. Let's see...
Here's the theme song to Doug:
Doo-do doo-do do-do doo-do doo-do do,
Doo-do doo-do do-do doo-do doo-do do!
I think this is all of Wishbone:
What's the story, Wishbone? Do you think it's worth a look? It kind of sounds familiar, like a story from a book. Shake a leg now, Wishbone. Let's wag another tail. Sniffing out adventure, with Wishbone on the trail. Come on Wishbone...what's the story Wishbone?
Here's the one for Arthur:
Every day when you're walking down the street, and everybody that you meet, is {memory file damaged}.
And I say Hey! (Hey!) What a wonderful kind of day, when we can learn to work and play, and get along with each other.
You got to listen to your heart, listen to the beat, listen to the rythm, the rythm of the street. {memory file damaged} make things better by working together.
It's a simple message, and it comes from the heart. Oh, believe in yourself, 'cause that's the place to start! And I say hey! (Hey!) etc.
Okay, Alvin and the Chipmunks...I had that one on a wav file at one time.
Watch out, 'cause here we come! It's been a while but we're back in style so get set to have some fun! We'll bring you action, and satisfaction!
We're The Chipmunks! C-H-I-U-M-U-N-K We're The Chipmunks! Coming along now to brighten your day!
If you feel like a laugh, give us a call we'll give you our all and if you feel like a song {memory file damaged} sing right along!
We're The Chimpunks! Bigger and better than ever before! We're the Chipmunks! Alvin, Simon, Theodore! Doo, doo, do-do-do-doo! Doo, doo, do-do-do-doo!
And of course, Inspector Gadget:
Do-do-do-do-doo, Inspector Gadget.
Do-do-do-do-do-DO-do whoo-hoo!
Do-do-do-do-doo, Inspector Gadget, etc.
Go, Gadget, go!
(musical interlude)

Yeah, not much to that one. One that I liked but can't remember much of was The Magic School Bus.

Wow, how often I find myself singing (to myself) "KILLER TOFU!!!!" from Doug. That was a great show. As were the others mentioned, all classics.
